José Vázquez Estrada

Chiapaneco architect and painter graduated from the Autonomous University of Chiapas, I take abstract expressionist art as a starting point to create my works and I am also passionate about realistic drawing, my pictorial work is experimental, always looking for a style that breaks the barriers of contemporary art and that marks a trend where the language of the work is a totality.

José Vázquez Estrada

Chiapaneco architect and painter graduated from the Autonomous University of Chiapas.

He has held 6 individual exhibitions and numerous collective exhibitions both in Chiapas and in Mexico City. His style is very marked within the current of Abstract Expressionism, in which the use of symbols such as circle, stripes, drip paint and strong color management predominates to achieve an expression of his own and individually.

Currently his work is distributed in private collections in Chiapas, Tabasco, Guadalajara, Monterrey, Nayarit and the Federal District.

In 2009, he obtained first place in the drawing competition for gender equality at the state level led by the National Population Council and second place in the painting contest honoring Luis Donaldo Colosio.

In 2011 he attends the linoleum engraving workshop held at the Raúl Anguiano museum in the city of Guadalajara Jalisco.

In 2012, he collaborated in the realization of the mural titled "Sing to Soconusco", inside the municipal presidency of Tapachula, Chiapas.
